Kia ora and welcome!
Welcome to our MHT Course
We aim to empower you to take control of your health and well-being by providing valuable insights into your body and mind. Here are some key points to keep in mind as you go through the course:
- Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT) is another name for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), neither term is perfect to describe the scope of the treatment and are used interchangeably throughout the course.
- This course is designed to be viewed on a laptop/computer screen. It should work on a tablet or phone as well, but some of the graphics/text might appear smaller, so if this is the case for you, please view these sections on a bigger screen.
- Throughout the course, you will encounter patient quotes in yellow shapes and facts in green shapes.
- If a term has an asterisk (*) next to it, you can find its definition at the bottom of the page.
- There are videos available for further explanation, but they are optional as the written material is comprehensive on its own. You can download the transcript file below each video if you would prefer.
- Feel free to take breaks whenever, dip in and out, and come back to the course/workbook whenever suits you on your journey.
- If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to comment in the dedicated section below each lesson.
- The platform aims to be inclusive, acknowledging that experiences like perimenopause are not exclusive to women. In our content, we strive to use language that includes all genders.
- While we may refer to your GP in this course, we acknowledge that your health village may include doctors, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, health coaches and more.
